Vala Guide AFK Journey

Vala is an Assassin in AFK Journey who can switch between ranged attack and melee attack modes during battles, and pose a huge threat to backline enemies. Vala is part of Lightbearer Faction. Vala is an extremely powerful assassin who can fight in both melee and range. What makes Vala so good is her ability to jump and focus on important enemy heroes.

When she gets her energy, she will jump on ranged enemy heroes and destroy them if they are not protected. This is extremely useful when you are fighting against enemy heroes that provide a lot of healing, like Hewynn. If you decide to use Vala on a team, then you should definitely level up her exclusive weapon. Her weapon will allow her to become untargetable until all the heroes on the team are dead.

• Swift Shift: Switches to the Skyblaster mode damaging and stunning enemies. Or she switches to the Sword mode, dealing enormous true damage.
• Notice Beforehand: Marks an enemy with Star Notice, attacking the marked enemy in priority and absorbing their Energy.
• Checkmate: Deals damage to an enemy and reduces their Haste, or deals damage 3 times to an enemy.
• Hero Focus: ATK increases during battle. She gains extra ATK every time a non-summoned enemy is defeated.
• Night Maneuver: Movement speed and Haste are increased when a marked enemy is defeated.
• Enhance Force: Deals a higher damage to the marked enemy.
• Battle Momentum: Increases Attack and Crit for a limited time when a battle starts. Defeating a non-summoned enemy while this effect is active will extend its duration.

Vala Skills

Swift Shift

When Vala casts the skill at an empty tile, she jumps to the tile and switches to the Skyblaster mode. She prioritizes shooting the marked enemy, dealing 450% damage and stunning them for 4s. When Vala casts the skill at an enemy, she switches to the Sword She rushes to slash the target, dealing 420% true damage. And all her normal attacks become melee attacks. In Auto Battle Vala switches to the Sword and prioritizes the marked enemy if their HP ratio is lower than 50%. Otherwise, she switches to the Skyblaster mode to the enemy and remains at a distance.

Upgrade Preview:

• Level 2: In Skyblaster Mode, Vala deals 20% more damage to enemies with a HP ratio higher than 50%. (Unlocked at Level 51)
• Level 3: In Sword Vala deals additional damage to enemies with a HP ratio lower than Damage dealt equals to 10% of target’s lost HP, up to 300% of Vala’s ATK. ( Unlocked at Level 111)
• Level 4: In Skyblaster Vala deals 25% more damage to enemies with a HP ratio higher than 50%. (Unlocked at Level 171)
• Level 5: In Sword Vala deals additional damage to enemies with a HP ratio lower than 50%. Damage dealt equals to 12% of target’s lost HP, up to 300% of Vala’s ATK. (Unlocked at Level 231)

Notice Beforehand

Vala sends a Notice to mark the farthest enemy when a battle starts. She attacks the Noticed enemy in priority, absorbing 90 Energy for each hit. When the Noticed enemy is defeated, Vala sends the Notice Beforehand to the farthest enemy if she is in Skyblaster Mode or to the nearest enemy if she is in Sword Mode.(Unlocked at Level 11)

Upgrade Preview

• Level 2: Increases Energy absorbed to 100. (Unlocked at Level 71)
• Level 3: Increases Energy absorbed to 110. (Unlocked at Level 131)
• Level 4: Increases Energy absorbed to 120. (Unlocked at Level 191)

Checkmate

In Skyblaster Vala shoots with an exclusive anesthetic bullet, dealing 230% damage to an enemy and reducing their Haste by 60 for 8s. In Sword mode, Vala launches 3 consecutive strikes to an enemy. Each strike deals 100% damage and stuns them for 1s.

Upgrade Preview:

• Level 2: Increases the damage with Skyblaster to 240%; Increases the damage with Sword to 105%. (Unlocked at Level 91)
• Level 3: Increases the damage with Skyblaster to 250%; Increases the damage with Sword to 110%. (Unlocked at Level 151)
• Level 4: Increases the damage with Skyblaster to 260%; Increases the damage with Sword to 115%. (Unlocked at Level 211)

Hero Focus

Vala Increases her ATK by 9% during battle. She also gains an extra 3% ATK every time a non-summoned enemy is defeated.

• Level 2: Vala Increases her ATK by 12% during battle. She also gains an extra 4% ATK every time a non-summoned enemy is defeated.
• Level 3: Vala Increases her ATK by 15% during battle. She also gains an extra 5% ATK every time a non-summoned enemy is defeated.

Night Maneuver

When a marked enemy is defeated, Vala hides in the darkness and can only be targeted after all other allies are defeated, increasing her movement speed by 60% and Haste by 80 for 10s. (Unlock after Exclusive Equipment is activated)

Upgrade Preview:

• Level 2: Exclusive Equipment: Increases her movement speed by 80% and Haste by 100 under this status. (Reach Level 5 to unlock).
• Level 3: Exclusive Equipment: Vala restores 40% of her max HP when a marked enemy is defeated. (Reach Level 10 to unlock).
• Level 4: Exclusive Equipment: Increases her movement speed by 90% and Haste by 120 under this status. (Reach Level 15 to unlock).

Enhance Force

Vala ‘s movement speed and Haste are increased when a marked enemy is defeated

Battle Momentum (Season Skill)

Grants an extra 11% ATK and 18 Crit in the first 8s of a battle. Defeating a non-summoned enemy while this buff is active extends its duration by 5s.
