Equipment in AFK Journey is one of the most important things that you have to get and craft, but it is relatively simple. Equipment will give your heroes additional stats so you can do more damage and progress further in the game.
When you compare AFK Journey equipment with other Gacha systems, you will notice how well-designed and simple the AFK Journey equipment systems are. It is really free-to-play friendly, so you do not have to spend an insane amount of time grinding gear for each hero.
In this AFK Journey equipment guide, we will cover everything that you need to know about equipment, how to get it, and how to forge it so you can improve your heroes further.
What is AFK Journey Equipment?
Equipment in AFK Journey are items that you equip for each class, not heroes. When you equip your class, then all the heroes that belong to that class will share the same equipment. For example, when you equip a support class, all your support heroes will have the same equipment.
This is a great system, so you don’t have to spend countless hours equipping each hero with their own equipment. The only thing that is specific to the hero is exclusive equipment, which we will explain later in the guide.
There are six different pieces of equipment that you can equip in each class. They are:
- Weapon
- Gloves
- Ring
- Helmet
- Chest
- Boots
Currently, there are no special seats or bonuses that you can get. If they get implemented, we will update the guide.
How to Get Equipment
Getting equipment in AFK Journey is a relatively simple thing to do. You can get equipment from:
Collecting Chests on the Map: When you are exploring the world, you will come across different chests. Those chests can give you random items including equipment. So make sure that you collect all the chests that you see.
Free Equipment Chests: When you reach a certain resonance level, you will get free chests from which you can choose what equipment you want.
AFK Progress: AFK Progress will give you most of the equipment. The amount of equipment and type is random, but what is great is that if you get equipment that you don’t need, you can always salvage it to get materials. Materials that you get can be used for crafting equipment.
Growth Path and Trails: There are quests and tasks that you can do, and they will give you equipment and materials for crafting as rewards.
General and Adventure Store: In these stores, you will spend diamonds and antique coins to purchase equipment. We recommend that you only purchase equipment using diamonds that you really need or that are discounted so you can salvage it to get materials.
Overall, there are a lot of ways to get equipment for your heroes, so do not worry too much about it. With time, you will be able to max out the equipment for each class.
How to Forge Equipment
Forging equipment in AFK Journey is quite a simple thing to do. To forge, you will need gold and shards. You will always have an extra amount of gold, and shards can be obtained by purchasing them in the shop or doing some in-game stuff, but the majority of shards you will get by salvaging gear.
To increase the level of gear that you can craft, you have to increase your Resonance Level. For example, if your resonance level is 79, you will be able to craft gear that is level 75. Once you upgrade your resonance level to 80, you will be able to craft level 80 gear.
So it is important that you increase your resonance level equally among your heroes. Also, if you are a new player, check out your strongest heroes that you are using and focus only on the equipment for their classes. There is no point in crafting equipment for classes that you do not use.
What is and How To Get Exclusive Equipment
Exclusive equipment in AFK Journey is specific equipment for each hero. In order to unlock and get exclusive equipment, you have to ascend your heroes to Mythic. Once you ascend, you will be able to use and upgrade exclusive equipment.
To upgrade your Exclusive Equipment you will need Stones that are quite hard to get, so it will take you some time to upgrade it to max level. So when you are upgrading Exclusive Equipment make sure that you first focus on the AFK Journey best heroes and heroes that you are using a lot.
Currently, each hero has one piece of Exclusive Equipment. If they implement more of it, we will update the guide.
How to Get Stones For Exclusive Equipment
Getting the stones that are needed for upgrading Exclusive Equipment is extremely hard, and it will take you a lot of time and effort.
You can get Stone by:
In-game Shop: You can purchase stones from in-game shops. Do this only if you are planning to play the game for a long time.
Dream Realm: In Dream Realm you can get a good amount of stones. Getting Dazzling Stone from Dream Realm is hard because you have to be in the top 20 on the leaderboards, which is impossible if you are a new player.
Emporium: There is a chance that stone can be spawned in the emporium. If you see one, make sure that you purchase it. It is 100% worth it.
Guild Chest: You can get a good amount of stone from guide chests. So make sure that you join the active guild and do all guide activities.
