Dream Realm Guide and Team Composition AFK Journey

Dream Realm is a game mode in AFK Journey where players will fight against bosses to earn rewards. Currently, there are 6 bosses: Skyclops, King Croaker, Snow Stomper, Lone Gaze, Alpha Bear and Necrodrakon. Each of them has unique skills and stats. Each day you will fight different bosses and you have 9 tries to defeat them to push your score. Each boss has different difficulty levels. Higher difficulty means better rewards.

When you reach Endless Mode Difficulty, the boss cannot be killed, but your goal is to deal as much damage as possible so you can get rewards from the leaderboard. The difficulty level of bosses will not reset after the season, which means that you will start from the highest difficulty you have reached.

Dream Realm is not that hard and with time and effort, you will reach maximum difficulty. The only thing that is hard is to be in the top 20 on the leaderboard if you are a new player or free-to-play because usually, pay-to-win players dominate. They dominate because they have the best heroes, max level, and gear, so they can deal an insane amount of damage to bosses. In this guide, we will learn all bosses’ skills and the best teams to defeat them.

Best Dream Realm Team

To deal as much damage as possible, use a Starshard artifact. Use the Awakening artifact if you are a new player or struggling to survive a fight. For Season 1 use Evocation artifact or Quickblade artifact.

There are a lot of factors that you have to take into consideration when you are building the best team for Dream Realm like your hero levels, ascend, special equipment, dream realm fragments etc. If you are a new player you should use heroes that you have on the highest ascending level. The reason for that is that with ascend, you unlock strong skills and get a lot of stats. What you and each AFK Journey player should do is read the bosses’ skills and the skills of heroes that you have at a decent ascended level. By reading the skills of bosses and heroes, you will be able to create the best teams for the dream realm with the heroes that you have. You have nine tries each day, so do not be scared to make mistakes and experiment. Also, plan ahead and put heroes on wish lists that are too good for the dream realm and other PVE content.

Each boss has different skills, so the heroes and teams that you will have will be different for each boss. We did a lot of testing to create the best teams for each boss and if developers change bosses or include new heroes, we will update this guide.

Dream Realm Rewards

In the dream realm, there are two different types of rewards: ranking rewards and normal rewards. Normal rewards are easy to get, all you have to do is defeat the boss. Ranking rewards are great and they are based on damage score.

The problem is that they are incredibly hard to get if you do not have your heroes on the max level and have an optimized team because you are competing against the best players on your servers who usually have the best heroes, max levels, gear, etc. We recommend that you at least try to get the top 100 on the leaderboard so you can get essences that are used to upgrade special equipment because they are extremely hard to get from other sources.

Both rewards will give you a lot of dream fragments that you can spend in the Dream Store. In a dream store, you can purchase Soul Sigils that are extremely important for ascending heroes.
