Arena is a game mode in AFK Journey where you will fight against other players. Also, it is the first battle mode that you will unlock. Arena is extremely important in AFK Journey because you can get so many rewards. One of the crucial rewards is the arena tokens that you will spend on soul sigil so you can ascend the heroes that you want.
A soul sigil will drastically help you and make your heroes strangers, so you can progress faster and easier. So in this guide, you will find everything that you need to climb the ranking and get more rewards.
AFK Journey Arena Formation
You have to set up your formation before you start challenging other players and climbing the ranks. The reason you have to set up your formation is that other players can attack you at any time, and if you lose, you will lose points if they win. So to avoid losing points, you have to set up a good formation. What formation you will use depends primarily on what heroes you have. There are also maps that you can choose from, but again what map you will choose depends on your formation.
Overall, it is best to use the strongest heroes that you have. The biggest mistake that players make is not updating their formations after they get stronger heroes. So update the formation as soon as you get new heroes that are strong. Unfortunately, it is hard to say what heroes or combos you should use in AFK Journey Arena, and the reason is that you will never fight the same enemy. So it is impossible to create a counter or a specific formation. The best recommendation that we can give is that you use the strongest heroes in AFK Journey that you are using to fight PVE enemies.
Challenging Players in Arena
Challenging players in AFK Journey Arena is relatively simple. When you click on Challenge, you will get three different players that you can choose to fight. You want to choose players that have less overall power than you. If, for example, you have 100k power and you challenge a player who has 150k, you will definitely lose. You want to challenge players that have at least 10k less power than you. There is a high chance that you will win. Of course, in some cases, you will not, because they can use extremely overpowered heroes and formations.
When you click challenge and you get 3 players that have higher power than you, then simply click on the refresh button in the lower right part of your screen. It will give you three new opponents that you can choose from. Repeat until you get an opponent that you can beat. Keep in mind that you are limited to 6 refreshes per day.
Daily attack chance
Each day, you get five arena challenge tokens that you can use. After that, the only way to get them is by purchasing them using diamonds. The limit is 5 per day that you can purchase. Is it worth it depending on your goal, and do you need to push rankings? If you are a new player, there is no point in spending diamonds. If you need more diamonds then you can redeem codes for AFK Journey.
AFK Journey Arena Rewards
There are three types of rewards that you can get from AFK Journey Arena. The amount of rewards that you will get depends on what tier or ranking you are in. So if you want to get more rewards, you have to get a higher tier.
- First-time Rewards: Each time you get to a new tier you will get diamonds. Keep in mind that you can redeem diamonds only once per tier.
- Daily Rewards: At the end of each day you will get gold and arena tokens.
- Weekly Rewards: At the end of each week (00:00 UTC every Monday), you will get gold and arena tokens.
